The operation of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT) Line 1 was suspended for over an hour due to a problem with one of its trains on Monday.
According to the advisory from Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC), a 25 kph restriction was put in place from Fernando Poe Jr. Station to Dr. A. Santos Station around 9:22 am and then the operation was stopped for safety at 9:30 am.
The LRMC did not give specific details on the problem of the train but it noted that the affected train is located at Gil Puyat Station in Pasay City.
"Please be advised that all LRT-1 stations are temporarily implementing a stop-entry as of 9:29 am today, September 29. This is due to a technical fault affecting the line," the LRMC said.
The LRMC announced the resumption of its normal operation around 10:37 am. Robina Asido/DMS
