Eight Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) arriving in Manila on Thursday evening following repatriation from Israel, Malacanang announced.

In a press conference, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said that eight Filipinos were scheduled to arrive at 11 p.m. Thursday aboard Philippine Airlines PR 0737 from Bangkok.

“As of July 2025, we are expecting repatriations. Batch 38-A consisting of eight OFWs will arrive on July 3. Batch 38-B will arrive on July 4 with 12 OFWs and Batch 39 will arrive on July 6 with 25 OFWs,” Castro said.

Castro also said that the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) continues to help Filipinos affected by the conflict in the Middle East.

Around 304 OFWs received hygiene kits and food packs, 188 received financial assistance worth USD 200, and a total of 50 were sheltered by the DMW, with four staying in the Migrant Workers Resource Center (MWRC) and 12 in the city of Rehovot in Israel.

Tensions between the two Middle Eastern countries remain high following Israel’s attack on top military and nuclear sites in Iran on June 12, with Iran conducting retaliatory attacks on Israel. Velle White/DMS
