Thirty provinces across the Philippines experienced moderate to heavy rain with lightning and strong winds on Thursday.
Based on thunderstorm advisories of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the conditions were experienced by Apayao, Ilocos Norte, Abra, Cagayan, Mountain Province, Bulacan, Zambales, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Quezon, Laguna, Rizal, Cavite, Pampanga, Bataan, Batanes, Benguet, Marinduque, and Palawan, in Luzon.
Iloilo, Antique, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Eastern Samar, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Cebu, Capiz, Aklan, and Bohol were provinces in Visayas also experienced the same weather condition.
Lightning and strong winds, moderate to occasionally heavy rain were felt in La Union, Sorsogon, and Albay in Luzon, and Northern Samar in Visayas.
Pagasa is monitoring a low pressure area located 1,935 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon as of 2 pm on June 26, which has a low chance of being developed into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, based on the latest weather forecast.
