The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tueaday issued a show cause order for senatorial candidate and Las Pinas City Rep. Camille Villar due to alleged vote buying activities in Imus, Cavite.

In an interview, Comelec Executive Director Teopisto Elnas said :''In an event in Brgy Buhay na Tubig, the presence of senatorial candidate Camille Villar was there. We will wait for the reply or comment of Camille Villar on this within three days upon receipt."

"She was there at the stage during the activity and it happened within the campaign period. Someone is giving away money and there are those receiving money on that event," he added.

Elnas said there was an anonymous complaint filed against Villar using a Facebook post as evidence.

Villar is among the Magic 12 senatorial slots for the May mid-term elections, according to various surveys. DMS
