A 5.4 magnitude quake jolted Surigao Del Sur, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported on Tuesday afternoon.
The epicenter of the tremor initially reported as magnitude 5.8, was located 37 kilometers northeast of Lingig based on the latest Phivolcs bulletin.
The quake, which was tectonic was its origin, had a shallow depth of 29 kilometers.
Intensity IV was felt in Bisilig City, Hinatuan, and Lingig in Surigao Del Sur.
Meanwhile, Mabini and Maco in Davao De Oro, San Francisco in Surigao Del Norte, and Barobo and Tandag City in Surigao Del Sur experienced Intensity II.
Based on Instrumental Intensities, Intensity IV was recorded in Nabunturan, Davao De Oro, and Bislig City in Surigao Del Sur; Intensity III in Kailanganin, Bukidnon; Intensity II in Tandag, Surigao Del Sur; and Intensity I in Cabadbaran City, Agusan Del Norte, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental, Malungon, Sarangani, Tupi, South Cotabato, San Francisco, Southern Leyte, and Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte.
