Six girls had a drinking spree Friday night and fell asleep on the tracks between Blumentritt and Laong Laan train stations. At 6 am, a train traveling towards the Manila North Cemetery hit the six teeners, killing three, police said Saturday.

“They were all asleep when the train came,” said Senior Police Officer Richard Borbon in an interview at radio station dzBB.

Borbon said two died on the spot while the third, a 13-year-old, expired at the Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital . The other three are confined, added Borbon.
