A toy company which has foreign investors was hit by a bomb threat in Lipa City, Batangas Friday evening but it later turned out as a prank.

"Be careful and if possible evacuate your employees," the text sender said in Filipino.

A security guard phoned police at 8:30 pm. The desk officer, in turn, contacted the the explosive and ordnance division of the Philippine Air Force.

After several hours of inspection, nothing was found in the building and its premises.

A desk officer at the Lipa police said the company was declared safe at 12:30 am Saturday. "There is an investigation to determine who is responsible for the

prank," he said in a phone interview. Emmanuel Tupas
