Marcos resumes public engagements after series of private meetings in Malacanang

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has been primarily focused on private meetings at the Palace, but several public engagements are scheduled in the coming days, Malacanang said on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, President Marcos presided over the meeting of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on the aftermath of Super Typhoon Nando and preparations for Tropical Storm Opong that is expected to directly hit Luzon this weekend.

Presidential Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro addressed concerns over the President’s lack of public appearances in the last few days.

Nagkataon lamang po siguro na wala pong activities,” Castro said in a Palace briefing on Wednesday.

Presidential News Desk
