Senator Ronald Dela Rosa admitted in an interview on Wednesday that a circulating resolution calling for the '' de facto'' dismissal of the impeachment trial on Vice President Sarah Duterte came from his office.

"That's my own initiative. It's from my office. Read the resolution. You will understand everything. That's very self-explanatory. If you read it, what's being said there are all my concerns," Dela Rosa said in a TV interview.

Senate President Francis Escudero said until this is formally filed in the plenary, this is just a draft resolution.

Former Senator and incoming ML Partylist Rep. Leila De Lima said the alleged Senate draft proposing the dismissal of Duterte’s impeachment trial is unconstitutional.

In a press conference in University of the Philippines on Wednesday, De Lima said that the text of the contents of the alleged draft is unconstitutional for it does not follow the orders of the Constitution.

The comment comes a day after a document circulating on social media allegedly sought the declaration of Vice President Duterte's impeachment case as 'de facto' dismissed 'by operation of the 1987 Constitution'.

The 19th Congress adjourns sine die on June 13.

Duterte was impeached in the House of Representatives by 215 lawmakers last February 5, with the Senate receiving the House's complaint on the same day.

The presentation by the House prosecution panel of the articles of impeachment to the Senate was initially scheduled on June 2, but Senate President Francis Escudero sent a letter to House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez on May 29, delaying the presentation to June 11, the Senate’s last session day before the 19th Congress adjourns.
