Phiilippine Ambassador to Thailand Milicent Cruz-Paredes said they have not received any reports of fatalities or injuries from Friday's magnitude 7.7 earthquake.

Paredes told The Big Story Monday night that ''the Thai authorities said there were no foreigners affected by the big quake.''

Four Filipinos have been reported missing.

The government will send 114 personnel to help in the search and rescue operations in Myanmar.

In a press briefing in Malacanang on Monday, Palace Press Officer and Undersecretary Claire Castro said that the administration held an interagency meeting led by Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro Jr. to ''mobilize the country’s resources to help our neighbors'

The contingent is slated to leave at 4 am Tuesday.

“We will be sending them so that the Philippines may be able to help our fellow countrymen in Myanmar, and the citizens of Myanmar who are experiencing a crisis due to the earthquake,” Castro said.

The 114 personnel will come from the Philippine Emergency Medical Assistance Team (PEMAT) from the Department of Health (DOH), consisting of 31 personnel.

Urban search and rescue teams from the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Apex Mining Corporation, First Gen-Energy Development, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), consisting of 80 personnel, will also be deployed to Myanmar.

The deployed personnel will be staying in Myanmar for two weeks, according to a social media statement released by the Office of Civil Defense. Yzabela Velez-White/DMS
