Four persons were injured in a fire that reached fourth alarm as it razed 50 homes in Barangay Ususan, Taguig City on Tuesday afternoon, an official of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

A 28-year-old female had difficulty breathing while a 29-year-old male sustained a laceration on his right elbow. Lastly, two males both had first-degree burns on the right arm.

Fire Officer 1 Nida Nacandao, in an interview with the Daily Manila Shimbun, said damage was estimated at P750,000.

The Taguig fire reached fourth alarm by 2:45 pm and was declared fire out by 5:23 pm.

In a separate fire, 30 families and 60 individuals were affected in Tondo.

According to Fire Officer 1 Mario Layno, the fire in Barangay 108 started at the right portion of the ground floor.

Based on the initial report, the fire reached third alarm at 2:38 pm and was declared fire out by 4:21 pm.
