A pilot -instructor and student-pilot died as their two-seater training aircraft crashed after taking off from an airport past 8:01 am Sunday in Barangay Libsong East, Lingayen, Pangasinan.

According to Lingayen police chief Lt. Col. Amor Mio Somine, the two-seater Cessna training aircraft was making a U-turn when it crashed into an open field.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said the Cessna training aircraft with registration number RP-C8595 was operated by Pilipinas Space Aviation Academy Inc.

Authorities have yet to release identities of the pilot-instructor and student-pilot until their families have been notified. DMS
