A 35-year-old man held hostage three mem-bers of his family and their maid before killing them at their two-storey house in Pili town, Camarines Sur province on Tuesday.

After shooting his father, brother and sister-in-law, the hostage taker shot himself in the head with a .45 caliber pistol, according to a report from the Camarines Sur Provincial Police office.

The incident began around 8:25 am and ended in multiple deaths and injuries at around 5:25 pm. ET/DMS
