Three more former or incumbent Senators will be recommended to be charged next week for their alleged involvement in the anomalous flood control projects, Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) chairman Andres Reyes Jr. revealed Thursday.
In a press conference, Reyes did give details but he confirmed that these were on top of Senators Joel Villanueva and Jinggoy Estrada who were recommended for criminal charges late October.
“We will be filing cases at least against three sitting or former senators. At least three, next week,” he said.
The ICI press conference came after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced that there are personalities involved in the anomalous flood control projects who would be jailed before Christmas.
In a television interview, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said that around 40 accused for their alleged involvement in the anomalous flood control projects would be jailed within the month. Robina Asido/DMS
