An alleged finance officer of the New People’s Army (NPA) in Central Visayas who is wanted for terrorism, was arrested in Talibon, Bohol on Wednesday, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group said Friday.

CIDG director Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said the suspect, whom he identified only as ''Carmilo'', was apprehended in Barangay Poblacion.

The arrest warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 101 in Talibon last May 20.

Torre said ''Carmilo'' was the fourth most wanted fugitive in the region.

The arrest, according to Torre, is a major blow to the NPA’s financial operations in Central Visayas. DMS
