Japanese singer Fumi said that he is excited to join Atin Ito's third voyage to take place in the West Philippine Sea from May 25 to 29.
In a backstage interview during the Matsuri Festival on Sunday, the 30-year-old Japanese content creator and singer from Shizuoka confirmed his attendance to the coming voyage, saying that he was excited by the opportunity.
"It's a unique opportunity to perform on a ship in the middle of the sea. That's why I'm excited to go," Fumi said.
Fumi will be performing his hit song Love Rock during the sea concert, which he initially performed during the Matsuri Festival.
"I'll be doing the same set during the Atin Ito trip, but I'll be performing alone because my dancers won't be able to come with me," Fumi added.
Fumi was formerly a contestant of Pinoy Big Brother Season Eight in 2018, where he was first discovered.
Atin Ito's third civilian-led resupply mission will be held on May 25 with a Peace and Solidarity Sea Concert to symbolize the country's cultural assertion of its "sovereignty, rights as a nation, and territorial integrity".
Filipino artists Noel Cabangon and an all-women rock group Rouge will be joining Fumi in the sea concert. Yzabela Velez-White/DMS
