Senator Robin Padilla underwent a ''successful heart procedure'' in a hospital in Muntinlupa City.

This was announced by his wife Mariel in her instagram account on Saturday.

"We had a successful heart procedure. It's been a rollercoaster of emotions for us but now ultimately we are just so grateful and we are so blessed that Robin is okay," she said

Rodriguez also expressed her gratitude to those who prayed for the senator and the medical professionals who treated him at the Asian Hospital.

"Thank you for your prayers. We want to thank the cardiologist Dr. Lopez and Dr. Javier, all nurses, med tech, people from admission and everyone at Asian Hospital," she added.

It can be recalled that Padilla was hospitalized in Spain last June due to hypertension after he topped the May senatorial election. Robina Asido/DMS
