President Rodrigo Duterte, displaying a matrix in a press conference early Thursday, accused a senator of having links to the illegal drug trade when she was still justice secretary.

In an early Thursday press conference in Davao City, Duterte showed the New Bilibid Prison's drug matrix with Senator Leila De Lima having direct link with Ronie P. Dayan, her alleged lover, with former Justice Undersecretary Francisco Baraan, and with former Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief Franklin Bucayo.

Other personalities in the matrix were former Pangasinan Provincial Administrator Rafael Baraan, Pangasinan Rep. Amado Espino Jr., and Pangasinan Board Member Raul Sison.

“De Lima, you are finished,” said Duterte.

According to the matrix, Dayan was De Lima's boyfriend since she was chairman of the Commission on Human Rights and was called as "Boss De Lima" or "Case Fixer" in Urbiztondo, Pangasinan of well known politicians.

Prior to becoming the BuCor chief, Bucayo was Region 1 director of the Philippine National Police through De Lima's help. After retiring from the police, Bucayo was appointed as hed of BuCor, an agency under the DOJ. But he resigned later because of alleged involvement in illegal drugs inside the NBP.

The matrix said Francisco Baraan was a "trusted" undersecretary of De Lima and in charge as supervisor of BuCor.

Rafael, an older brother of the undersecretary, was described as a loyal follower of Espino. He was dismissed by the Ombudsman because of alleged links to black sand mining and quarrying. Espino allegedly used Rafael Baraan to cover all his illegal activities.

Espino is former governor of Pangasinan before becoming a congressman of the province. He was charged with plunder and is out on bail on an illegal mining case.

"According to BM ( board member) Raul Sison, 'GovEspino' is the richest poltician in the Northern Luzon . He has amassed unexplained wealth," the matrix said. Celerina Monte
