Aside from the alleged kickbacks from P100 billion insertions to the 2025 national budget, former Ako Bikol Partylist Rep. Zaldy Co said that more than P50 billion were delivered for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr and ex-Speaker Martin Romualdez since 2022.

In a new video message posted in his Facebook page on Monday, Co claimed that since he became the chairman of the House Committee on appropriation in 2022, Romualdez ordered him to deliver P2 billion every month.

"From 2022 to 2025 the total amount of money that passed through me for President Bongbong Marcos and to former Speaker Romualdez reached P56 billion. It is separate from the 100 billion pesos insertion of the president on the 2025 (national) budget. As well as the P97 billion flood control insertion that they included in the NEP (National Expenditure Program)of the 2026 national budget," he said.

"All of these are from 2022 up to the last delivery in 2025. It (money) delivered to the house of former Speaker Martin (Romualdez) reached P55 billion plus... Speaker Martin told me that he and the president will divide that money between them," he added.

Co also mentioned that he personally delivered a total of P1 billion pesos for Marcos which was received by Justice Undersecretary Jose Cadiz Jr. in December 2024.

He said Romualdez ordered him to deliver the P1 billion for Marcos through Cadiz after the former House speaker was allegedly scolded by the president from September to November of the same year for not receiving his "remittances".

When asked for his response to the allegations, Marcos challenged Co not to hide and return to the country to face the charges filed against him.

"For it to mean something, he should come home. He should face his charges. If he wants to say something, say it here. The people will know that, he should prove it," he said in a televised press conference.

"Come home. Why are you hiding in a far area? Me, I am not hiding. If you have an accusation against me, I am here, he should be fair," he added.

Co also said at the beginning of his message that he received information that the administration is planning to label him as a terrorist.

"We received news, the administration will label me as a terrorist, in and outside the Philippines, to bury the truth with me wherever I go," Robina Asido/DMS
