The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is now eyeing more joint exercises with the Indian military after a successful joint sail on Sunday, on the eve of President Ferdinand Marcos's state visit to India.
AFP chief Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. said: ''So far, the results [of the joint sailing] are good. We have met our objectives for the exercise. and for the first time in history we have had a joint sailing with the Indian Navy."
"So, we are hoping that this will continue so that we can do more exercises with the Indian armed forces," he added.
Brawner said during their joint sailing exercise in the WPS, China sea vessels were seen, but there was no untoward incident. DMS
