Six crew members of the MV Magic Seas have been safely repatriated to the Philippines on late Friday.
In a statement, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) reported the arrival of six of the 17 Filipino crew members of the Greek-owned bulk carrier.
"The three seafarers landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 at around 4:30 pm onboard flight PR685. They are the ship's chief officer, 2nd officer, and 3rd officer," said the DMW.
"Three more crew members, mostly engineers, landed at Clark International Airport around 4 pm," it added.
Last Sunday, the MV Magic Seas was attacked by Houthi rebels. The crew members eventually abandoned ship, which sank off the coasts of Yemen. DMS
