New Manila Mayor Isko Moreno warned the youth of their "last shot" if they continue roaming around the city late at night as he announced the re-implementation of curfew in the city on Tuesday.
Under Executive Order (EO) no. 2 or the enforcement of protection hours for minor children, a curfew will be implemented in Manila from 10 pm to 4 am for individuals aged 17-year old and below.
In his speech at the State of the City address, Moreno addressed minors drinking around the city using the streets as bars, reiterating, "your days are numbered. That's your last shot".
This is after Moreno roamed around the city late at night and observed minors loitering around the street getting drunk, engaging in fights, and using the city as a place for racing motorcycles with no mufflers.
Moreno also signed EO no. 4 "an order regarding noise-pollution prevention and control by implementing ordinance no. 8772 entitled 'Motor vehicle modified muffler noise regulation ordinance of the city of Manila' ". Marie Manalili/DMS
