President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed his condolences to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the crash of Air India Flight AI-171, which killed 242 people and left one survivor.
"Our thoughts are with every family, across India and beyond, grieving this profound loss. We stand in full solidarity with the people of India in this moment of sorrow," the chief executive said in a post in social media account last Friday.
Flight AI-171, which was bound for the London Gatwick Airport, took off from Ahmedabad airport last Thursday before it shortly crashed.
As of Friday morning, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said it was still waiting for a report if there were any Filipino casualties. DMS
