Re-electionist Senator Bong Go of PDP-Laban topped the partial and unofficial election returns of citizen's arm Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) for the 2025 midterm polls on Tuesday.
Go received 26,479,597 votes while Akbayan led the partylist race with 2,750,901 with 97.33 percent accounted for as of 7:30 pm.
Trailing Go is former Senator Bam Aquino, an independent, with 20, 634, 871 and Senator Ronald Dela Rosa who has 20, 263, 395.
In fourth place were ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo, Sagip Partylist Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, former Senator Kiko Pangilinan, Senator Pia Cayetano, Las Pinas Rep. Camille Villar, Senator Lito Lapid and Senator Imee Marcos.
The high places of Aquino, Pangilinan and Marcoleta, and falling out of the Magic 12 of Senator Bong Revilla, broadcaster Ben Tulfo, Makati Mayor Abby Binay and former Senator and boxing legend Manny Pacquiao confounded survey firms.
Ronnie Holmes, president of Pulse Asia, told Daily Manila Shimbun this is '' the first time'' that there was a wide divergence of results in pre-election surveys and in the actual count.
From 12th place to second place of Aquino, said UP Professor Tobi Monsod in former Finance Undersecretary Cielo Magno's podcast, is ''such a remarkable, puzzling jump for me from the viewpoint of what I know on surveys.''
Holmes said what the candidates did in the last three weeks since Pulse Asia did its last pre-election survey could have helped the candidates who were on fringe or outside the Magic 12.
The proclamation of the 12 winning senatorial candidate bets may take place by Friday or Saturday if the transmission of the certificate of canvass (COC) is continuous.

A total of 175 certificate of canvass (COC) will be canvassed by the NBOC that consists of one local absentee voting, two legislative districts, 82 provinces, 26 highly urbanized cities, and 64 overseas posts.
