A Japanese national was robbed of his passport and power bank in Makati City on Wednesday night.

Information from the Makati City Police Office (MCPO) showed that the victim, a Japanese male of legal age, was robbed at gunpoint at around 9:30 pm by two unidentified men aboard a motorcycle along Finlandia corner Viola Street, Barangay San Isidro, Makati City.

Initial reports showed that the victim was walking from Pasay to Makati when his passport and power bank were stolen by the suspects, who sped away on a motorcycle.

The victim reported the incident to Makati Substation 3 but refused to file a case.

An interview with Barangay San Isidro officials showed that CCTV footage from the area was unavailable during the time of the incident for their CCTVs were under maintenance.

Makati Substation 3 tried to reach out to the victim but were unable to contact the victim. Yzabela Velez-White/DMS
