The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) lifted a yellow alert for the Visayas grid on Thursday afternoon.
In its Facebook post, the NGCP said the available capacity was at 3,044 megawatt (MW) while demand was at 2,325MW as of 1 pm.
Earlier, the Visayas grid will again be placed under yellow alert late Thursday afternoon after it was lifted on Wednesday night, the NGCP said.
In an advisory issued on Thursday morning, the NGCP announced that Visayas grid is forecast to have an available capacity of 2,500 megawatt and peak demand of 2,301 megawatt will be under yellow alert from 5 pm to 7 pm.
A yellow alert which was also issued on Wednesday afternoon was lifted around 8:25 pm of the same day.
The NGCP reported that Luzon and Mindanao grids remain under normal condition. Robina Asido/DMS
