The Philippine peso ended at a new all-time low of P59.17 against the US dollar on Tuesday, surpassing the previous P59.13 last Oct. 28.
It finished at P58.985 on Monday.
The peso fetched trades of $1.716 billion from $1.474 billion on Monday.
The currency fell to P59.19 during trading after opening at P58.95.
The central bank previously assured the market that economic fundamentals were sounded when the peso slumped to P59.13. DMS
