OCTA survey shows Marcos ratings dip but ''majority'' continue to trust President

OCTA Research on Tuesday showed that "majority of Filipinos" continue to trust President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. despite a dip in his trust and performance rating

OCTA's survey in April said that Marcos got a trust rating of 60 percent, which is five percentage points down from 65 percent in the fourth quarter of 2024. The trust rating of Vice President Sara Duterte rose to 58 percent from 49 percent in the fourth quarter.

"This marks the lowest trust rating for President Marcos Jr. since the first quarter of 2024 (but) it is important to note that, despite the decline, most adult Filipinos still express trust in President Marcos Jr.", it said.

The performance rating of Marcos with 59 percent was four percentage points lower from 64 percent. Duterte's performance rating increased to 56 percent from 48 percent from the November 2024 survey.

The non-commissioned survey, conducted from April 2 to 5, had 1,200 respondents nationwide. Marie Manalili/DMS
